Our friends at Love RVA might be on to something. We were quick on deciding if whether we we’re going to do a deal. The differences we see in their site from others like Groupon & Living Social are many. Love RVA only takes a normal “salesman” percentage of 20% whereas the others want 50%! The deal also allows us to choose a non-profit, Ring Dog Rescue in this case, and we share 20% of the deal with them.

They themselves don’t want to come across as bashing the larger national deal sites. They mentioned that Groupon & LS have been a driving force in Richmond and have helped many local businesses. They just think they’ve found a much better way.
We’re planning to do more deals with them in the future and would like to find some small local start-up non-profits to maximize the effect we could have. Until then, go save and hook-up Ring Dog Rescue. They do amazing things!
